How to create or edit a form?

Forms are used to gather information from participants: profile information upon registration, or entries when using topics or ideation. The form builder is always the same. You can watch the form builder tutorial, or discover all instructions below the video!

1. Where are forms being used?

A form determines what information you ask when participants want to interact. Currently, there are 3 locations where you will find forms.
On your project, to manage project specific profile and registration fields
In your ideation module, to manage the interactive topics

Go to the section of your platform where you want to add or manage a form. In the ideation section, go to the right topic and click on "form". You'll see a screen similar to the screenshot below. Now you can start editing the form!

A form consists of different fields. Using the "new" button, you can add fields or questions to your form. You can drag and drop the fields of your form in any order you'd like, or you can use the up and down arrows on the right next to each field.

3. General options of form fields

Each field has some specific characteristics (see below), and some general options. If you select a field on your form, you will see the settings on the right side of your form.

Input type: type of your field (see below for all options)
Internal name: name that will be used in the database
Required: is the field required to be filled in by the participant?
Private (only for topics): information that is shared in a private field will not be published on the entry, it will only be available in the backoffice
Title: public title that appears above the answer options
