Starting with moderation

With Bpart, you can moderate reactions and entries from users: this is how you manage your online debate. You can find this under 'moderation'. The moderation consists of different parts that you can go through and set up, to make the moderation on your platform run smoothly!

We distinguish between two types of input:

Contributions or 'entries', which are forms submitted via a topic
Reactions or 'comments', which are responses to published entries

Overview: moderating contributions or 'entries'

When you start moderating entries, the home screen shows the entries that have not been moderated yet (status 'pending'). The search function and filters at the top of the screen allow you to find all other contributions.

Status filter:

Click on the different filter buttons to determine which posts you want to see in the moderation. The filter is activated when the button is fully highlighted, it is deactivated when the button is just outlined. To display all posts in the moderation, activate or deactivate all filters.

Pending: entries that still need to be moderated (yellow)
Approved: entries which have been approved (green)
Rejected: entries which have been rejected (red)
Forwarded: entries which have been forwarded internally (blue)

Topics filter:

Click on the different filter buttons to determine which posts you want to see in the moderation. The filter is activated when the button is completely colored, it is deactivated when the button is just outlined. To display all entries in the moderation, activate or deactivate all filters.

The filters are linked to the different topics you have added to the platform.

Tags filter:

It is also possible to filter posts using tags. How to add such a tag to a post is discussed in this article.

Using the search function, you can easily find posts in the moderation. There are 2 different ways to search for a post:

Content: enter a piece of text of the entry you are looking for in this section. And click on Search.
Entry id: enter the id (without #) of the entry in this section. You can find this in the top left corner of the post. Then click on Search.
Clear: click this button to clear the search results and get back the overview of the posts.

Overview: moderating reactions or 'comments'

When you start moderating comments, you see your moderation tasks on the home screen. These are reactions that require special attention, because participants or the artificial intelligence of Bpart report them as possibly inappropriate.

At the top of the screen you can change the view to 'all comments', where you can find and moderate all other comments thanks to the search function and filters.
