Entry Statuses
What are statuses?
A status shows where an entry stands in your follow-up process, for example Proposed, Under consideration or Accepted. Each entry has one status at most.
Statuses are different from tags
Tags describe what an entry is about, are only visible for managers and an entry can have as many as you like. A status describes where the entry is in your process, is public information and an entry can have only one.
For example, an entry about a new bike lane could have the tags Mobility and Cycling and the status Under consideration.
Manage statuses
Statuses are managed per project. When you create a project, statuses are defined automatically unless you use a template or copy a project where statuses have been removed.
You can edit, reorder or delete statuses, and add your own:
- Add: create a new status and give it a name in each of the project's languages.
- Edit: change the name of a status.
- Reorder: drag statuses into the order you want. This order is used in the status dropdown and in the filter.
- Delete: remove a status you no longer need. You'll be asked to confirm first.
Apply, change or remove a status on an entry
A new entry does not get a status automatically.
- Open the entry in the moderation flow and go to the Analysis tab.
- Use the Status dropdown to select a status. The change is saved immediately.
- To change the status, select another one in the dropdown.
- To remove the status, select None.
Good to know
- Renaming a status updates all entries that have this status.
- Deleting a status sets all entries that had this status to None. The entries are not deleted.
- Filter: in the moderation list you can filter on one or more statuses at once, or on No status.
- Export: an entry's status is included in the export.
