Free Text Module
The free text module lets you add custom informational content to your project homepage: useful for announcements, context, instructions, or any message you want to share with visitors.
Enabling the module
You can enable or disable the free text module via your project settings. It's entirely optional; if your project doesn't need it, simply leave it disabled. For new projects, the module is enabled by default and sits right under your carrousel.
Adding content
A free text element consists of:
- Rich text content: written and formatted using a WYSIWYG editor. You can include text, images, videos...
- A call-to-action button (optional): a button with a custom label and URL, useful for directing visitors to an external page or resource.
You can create multiple free text elements in your backoffice and choose which one to display on your homepage. Only one element can be shown at a time. Elements you're not currently showing remain saved in your backoffice unless you explicitly delete them.

Positioning on your homepage
The free text module can be placed anywhere on your project homepage. It sits alongside other homepage modules such as the carousel, live tiles, interactive map, or timeline. Reordering is done via a drag-and-drop list, so no technical knowledge is required.

Embedding external content (advanced)
In addition to the WYSIWYG editor, a built-in HTML editor lets you embed external apps or widgets using an embed code. This works with any third-party tool that provides one, such as YouTube or survey tools.
Good to know
You are never required to use the free text module: select "none" in free text settings, or disable the module itself via your project settings.
